Sunsurf Solar is Sweden’s leading developer of floating solar (FPV) and pile-free solar systems. PowerModule™ & PeatModule™

PowerModule – a floating photovoltaic system

PowerModule™ is our patented solution for floating solar installations on leachate ponds, irrigation ponds, and other artificial water surfaces. The module is specifically designed for Nordic conditions and can withstand large variations in water levels, high wind speeds, and heavy snow loads — without compromising safety, stability, or energy performance. It’s the perfect solution for environments where traditional solar power systems are not feasible.

PeatModule – a pile-free system

PeatModule™ is our patented solution for solar installations on landfills, peatlands, and wetlands — areas with the most challenging ground conditions. The solar cell system is flexible, pile-free, and capable of handling variations in ground level and temporary flooding. PeatModule™ delivers the same high performance and long lifespan as traditional solar parks — but without land use and with minimal environmental impact.

The projects we have carried out include installations on irrigation ponds, leachate ponds, and peatlands.

Sunsurf Solar's technology has made it possible to develop projects in several previously unused areas for the production of renewable energy. So far, the technology has been utilized in projects at Tångagård in Falkenberg, Säve Nursery, Hyllstofta Recycling Center, Jönköping Environmental Management, and in peatland installations.

These installations have been made possible thanks to Sunsurf Solar's technical solutions, which are specifically designed to handle inaccessible and challenging environments. The result is renewable energy production on surfaces that, through this technology, have gained dual functionality.
