Sunsurf was founded in 2020 with a clear vision: to actively contribute to the green energy transition. From the start, our mission has been to combine long-term commitment and innovation to address the challenges of shifting to sustainable energy. We believe that meaningful progress is built on small, thoughtful steps and we are developing solutions that meet the demands of a changing future. At Sunsurf, we create advanced technologies and implement projects that make solar panel installations possible in areas that would otherwise remain unused. Our solar solutions not only enable clean energy production but also help reduce water evaporation and mitigate algal blooms, contributing to a more sustainable future on multiple fronts.
Technology for the Nordic Climate
Sunsurf Solar's solutions are engineered for optimal performance in the demanding Nordic climate. Our technology is specifically designed to withstand extreme conditions, including low temperatures, ice formation, heavy snowfall, and strong winds. The innovative system allows solar panels to be installed in otherwise inaccessible areas such as water surfaces, peatlands, marshes, and landfills. Every material and design choice has been carefully made to ensure durability, efficiency, and high performance all year round
Projects
Sunsurf Solar's technology has opened up new possibilities for renewable energy production in previously unused areas. So far, it has been successfully implemented in projects at Tångagård in Falkenberg, Säve Nursery Garden, Hyllstofta Recycling Center, and on peatland. These installations are made possible by Sunsurf Solar’s specialized solutions, specifically engineered to operate in hard-to-reach and demanding environments.
As a result, these areas now serve dual functions, hosting clean energy infrastructure while maintaining their original purpose.
